What Makes a Perfect Employee?

There isn’t a better feeling than when our business grows and develops so much that we need even more help.  That means our business is becoming more and more successful and all our hard work is paying off.  When our business does that well, it is important that we get the best help.  We’ve worked hard to get to this point and we want to have it continue to grow.  Are you thinking about hiring employees for your business?  If so, be sure to consider some of these tips below.

- Good personality – We want to make sure our workers are enjoyable to work with, easy to work with and have a positive attitude.  We don’t want to get stuck with people that are hard to get along with.

- Honest – We also want to make sure our employees are honest.  We want to make sure they will do what they say they will do, don’t cause trouble and are honest.

- Reliable – It is important that our workers are reliable.  If we have an important project that needs to be done by a certain time, will they show up for work and be on time?  Will they get done what they say that will?  Can you count on them to do something if you can’t make it in that day?

- Good background – Do they have a history of getting fired? Any felonies?  Anything bad on their record?  If so, they may not be your top choice.  Make sure you get someone who has good work experiences, will be helpful and not trouble.

- Hard working – Most importantly they need to be hard working.  You shouldn’t have to tell them to stop taking too long of breaks or to get more done.  You want an employee that will go above and beyond for you.  Although if they do, be sure to reward them and let them know you appreciate their hard work.

- Test – If you have a business that needs some experience it is a good idea to give them a test.  You want to make sure your employees know what they’re doing and can really get the job done.

There are many things to think about when you’re handing your business work over to someone else.  If you’re going to be hiring employees in the future, be sure to consider these tips above!
