Ways to Build Your Business For Free
The great thing about building a business in today’s era is the technology alone. With the Internet how it is today and how it’s quickly adapting. It’s not hard to reach billions of people with a click of a button. This is where the word “free” comes into play. With the Internet reaching the world, your business should be in the Internet game. I don’t care what kind of business you have, if you don’t have a website and you’re not driving traffic to it, you’re missing out on a lot!
If you already have a website in place or you plan on implementing a website in the future, here are few tips you can use if you’re looking to drive traffic to your business for free –
Online classified ads – Websites like Craigslist.org are a great way to start driving sales to your business. You don’t even need a website to use something like Craigslist. Simply hop on their website and find the area of interest where your business fits and post an ad. With the traffic Craigslist gets, you should see a decent increase in sales depending on your ad copy. Don’t forget to consistently add your ad weekly because day by day it will slowly be pushed down.
Forums – Depending on what business you’re in, you can look for forums online that cater to your business. Create a user name and start contributing to the forum. Don’t sign up and start spamming your business. If you own a comic book shop, look for comic book forums and add your opinions. With every post you have, leave a signature with your business website and phone number. The more credible you become, the greater your chances are of gaining new customers.
Make a video – One of the biggest crazes on the Internet today are online videos. Once again, I don’t know what your business is about but no matter what genre you’re in, you can create something viral. You won’t need thousand dollars worth of equipment but instead, you can use a simple camera and make a short video that can spread like wildfire. If once again, you own a comic book store, make a little movie related to the newest comic book. Make it unique and funny. If it’s good enough, it will spread. Make sure you add your website in the video as well.
Press releases – A great way to get your name out is by creating a press release. Yes, these can cost money but if you’re a good writer, you can write them yourself and submit them to online services for free. If your service is interesting, you’ll start to see calls come in from the media. Once the media gets a hold of it, this is when it turns into a goldmine for you!
Reach out to other bloggers- Look for the main bloggers in your niche. If you have to, send them an e-mail and tell them a little bit about your business in a nice way. Sometimes a bribe can go a long way if you catch my drift. Send them goodies, etc and their chances of talking about you are a little greater. Remember, relationships are key here as well. Bloggers or beat writers generally just don’t write about anyone.
These are just a few ways to reach out and get free traffic for your business. The online world is a beautiful thing. There are so many people out there that you can reach too and your business should capitalize on this.
