Using A Business Name Generator

When starting a new business, I always thought the business name was the hardest idea to come up with.  When you think of a business name, this is going to be the name that creates your image, and speaks out about your company.  Just think about some of the companies out there, and how you view them when you think of a name.

With companies like Google, and Apple, you’re going to find that the name doesn’t necessarily talk about their products.  Apple doesn’t sell “Apples”, and before Google started, you would never refer it to the Internet.  This is why you should never be afraid to think outside of the box when it comes down to naming your business.

What should I consider with a business name?

Think of your industry - The first thing that you want to think about is what your business is all about.  Is your business in the food industry?  Is it in the tech industry?  The reason I ask this is because you won’t want to name a bakery “Google”, because people will have no idea what you are, but if you’re a software firm, you may be able to get away with that name.

Be creative - Sit around, and think of a million possibilities, when it comes to your business.  The options out there are endless, and the more people you get together, the more ideas that you’ll come up with.  This is why I always recommend that people brainstorm together in order to get ideas out there.

Use resources online - There are a lot of resources online, and some of my favorites include the Dot-o-mator, where you can brainstorm on that website all day.  You can pick out words, and the category that you want to focus on.  The cool thing about them is that you’re able to see if that domain name is available for your business.  I highly recommend that you look into opening up an online resource of some kind as well.

Try some of these tips, and more to see how you can come up with the perfect business name.  Hopefully, in the end, you’ll find a name that sticks, and one that creates a brand.
