Twitter Tips for your Business

Twitter tipsEvery business today should have a Twitter profile, and if you don’t, I recommend that you learn how to use it today.  It’s a great way to connect with customers, and get the word out about products, etc.  If you already have a Twitter account, that’s great!  I wanted to show you how you can create an awesome Twitter profile.

Get a photo up of your business: Take a picture of your business, or your logo.  This is what people are going to see whenever you post a Tweet, or someone looks at your profile.  If you don’t have a photo, how are they going to recognize you?

Give information on your profile: If you look at any Twitter page, you’re going to see that you can put in information.  You’ll want to take advantage of this.  Put in your location, as well as a little blurb, so people know what you’re all about.

Connect with other business: The great thing about Twitter is that you’re able to connect with other businesses.  Find businesses that have Twitter accounts and follow them.  This will allow you to see what they are up to, as well as you’ll be able to connect with them.

Don’t spam your account: If you want followers, you don’t want to consistently plug your website.  Instead, you’ll want to connect with others.  Chat with others, ask questions, and yes, it’s okay to post a link here, and there, but I wouldn’t get into the habit of it.

Reply to your customers: On Twitter, you’ll notice that there’s a @yourusername icon on the right hand side.  If you click on that, you’ll be able to see those that are asking or replying to you.  This is a great way too respond back, so make it a habit of checking this all the time.

These are only a few tips you can follow in order for your business to succeed.  Don’t forget to leave a little logo on your website as well, so people know that you’re on Twitter.
