Tradeshow Exhibits – Getting the Most
Know your attendees
If you are going to be displaying at a trade show, it is important to know who you will be appealing to. For example, potential customers are attending for different reasons than suppliers, and those looking to use your service will be attracted to your booth will have other motives than those who are soliciting their services to you. If you have a good idea of who your audience is going to be, you will have a better chance to connect with them on the right level.
Appeal to their senses
It is a proven fact that most people are drawn to trade show booths that appeal to their basic five senses. Although this may not seem very important, statistics show that people are more apt to be attracted to things that appeal to their eyes or their ears. Your trade show booth is no exception. Once you have considered the wants and needs of your audience, you can choose color schemes, booth design, and audio-visual tools based on these findings.
Make yourself stand out
If you know your audience and you know what message you want to convey, it is equally important to define yourself. If an attendee passes your display and is not inspired to stop, what is your point in being there? Thus, it is important to differentiate yourself from the myriad of other booths that are competing for your potential customer’s time. It is important that your logo and tag line are visible, and you should have a booth that is inviting and easily navigable.
Maintain interest
Once you have an individual’s attention, you must know how to keep it. You can achieve this by making sure your booth is staffed by knowledgeable, helpful employees, and there is a call to action. If you are collecting business cards or name information, you might consider giving away a promotional item or something else they can take away from the booth to remember you by. Once they have entered your booth, you definitely want them to stay!
