6 Ways to Spot MLM Scams

You’ve probably had that friend or relative ring you up to sell you on something.  Oh, there’s a great opportunity that you can start with today!  You can make millions over the course of 3 years and you will never have to work for the man again.

While MLMs work for maybe 0.005% of the people that use them, the high majority fall for the high pressure sales pitches, throw in the fee to join, and find out that it isn’t for them.  This is where many of the MLM companies out there make their money.

If you’re thinking about joining a MLM to make some money,  while I don’t advise going with one, you may want to consider it.  To spot a scam, here’s what you’re going to have to look out for.

#1 Are they BBB accredited? If they are with the BBB, that’s great.  Most legit businesses are going to sign up with them.  Look at their grade.  If it’s anything higher than a B, you’re going to more than likely be working with a decent company.

#2 Start a simple search online: Google the company to see what comes up.  Are you happy with the results?  Are you getting a good vibe.  Yes, I know that even the best companies online get a bad review here and there, but if the majority are bad, you’re going to have to question yourself.

#3 Read into how it works: How does the system works?  You’re going to have to trust your gut on something like this.  If it sounds like something that you can do, then you may want to consider it.

#4 Talk with someone that does it: Use the Internet to your advantage.  Try and find someone that isn’t high up in the company.  You’re going to want to ask them what they think about the company.

#5 Claims of huge incomes: Right away, if they start stating that you can make $102,333 in 1 month, you’re going to have to question it.  There aren’t that many programs out there, if any that are going to allow you to make this kind of money in that short of time.

#6 How long have they been around? A legit company is going to be around for a while.  Yes, I know that some companies need to start somewhere, but the length of the company can tell you a lot about what they are all about.

Overall, you’re going to want to trust your gut.  Do you think you’re going to be able to do anything with it?  You’re going to find that there are a lot of companies out there that want to scam you!  Be smart and good things shall come.
