How to Persuade a Customer to Buy
Marketing is the name when it comes down to getting customers into your door. Now, what if I told you that there are many tips, and tricks that you can use out there in order to get people to buy? Well, I know it sounds too good to be true, but these strategies work, and they work well!
Always be there to help: If you have a business that has a lot of customers calling in, always make sure you can get to their phone call within minutes. In today’s world, people hate to wait around, and if you let people do it, they are going to move onto the next company.
To much to offer: If your company offers services, or even products, you’ll find that customers are actually scared away from a huge selection. Let’s say you clean pools for a living. You don’t want to offer 20 different plans. Instead, be straight forward, and offer 3-5 plans. A lot of people out there don’t like choices, believe it or not.
High prices don’t mean quality: Let’s say someone is out there to find the best pool service cleaning. If you price yourself high, because you truly believe you’re one of the best around, that may not be the case. Many customers put their price point in the middle. They don’t want to go too high, nor do they want to go too low. Being too low sometimes puts a picture in their head as having cheap service.
Hand out gifts to people: People love when others are heartfelt and warming. A small gift given to customers makes them feel at home, and they almost feel encouraged to buy from you. Whether it’s giving out a free item, or giving away free service, there are many things that you can give away to make your customers feel at home.
Lower prices help with bidding: If some of your business is on Ebay, you’re going to find that if you start the bidding process low, you’re going to get a lot more feedback, than compared to one that has a higher price. If you don’t believe me on this one, try it the next time you’re willing to sell!
People always remember negative things: You want to grow your business, and I understand that. If your customers have any negative experiences, they are going to remember this, as compared to positive experiences. This is why it’s important that you make sure that your staff is prepared, and friendly.
Be honest: If you’ve done something wrong with your business, let people know about it. If they catch you in a lie, they aren’t going to trust you, and this is a bad thing. Make sure that you’re honest, and always be open with your customer base.
Just smile: Customer service is going to take you a long way, and business owners don’t realize this. As long as you put on a smile, and answer questions honestly, you shouldn’t have a problem keeping customers around.
Try some of these tips, and see if you can increase sales. You’ll be surprised at how far psychology can take you in terms of growing your business.
