How to Make Your Own Business Cards
Starting up a new business can cost you a lot, and if you’re spending money left, and right, there are some ways that you can save on money, including your business cards. Instead of going out, and spending $100s of dollars on fancy business cards, you can build your own, and let me show you how!
Purchase your business card paper
The first thing that you want to do is by going out, and purchasing some solid business card paper. You won’t want to print this on plain paper, because you’re going to find that it’s pretty tacky. Amazon has a pretty big selection at a low cost. If you don’t want to buy online, you can head to your local office supply store such as Staples, and Office Max.
Use a free template or find one
The next step that you want to take is by opening up a software package like Microsoft Word. If you don’t have Microsoft Word, I would recommend that you look at some business card packages. With a software package like Microsoft Word, you’ll be able to choose your own business card template. Find one that you like, and you can start your editing process.
Edit the template
The next step that you want to take is simply by editing the template. You’ll want to include your information. You’ll want to include your contact information, company name, and anything else you may like. You may want to refer back to a post I made a few months back on what you should include on your business cards.
Print them up and save
Once you get the cards to your liking, print one up, and see how it looks. If you like what you see, start printing more, and save some for yourself. Now, you probably just save a hundred bucks by doing it yourself. When you look at them too, you won’t even realize the difference between home made, and a professional one!
