When we have our own business and we see that our employees are hurting our business or aren’t giving it their all, it is time for a business meeting.  We want to get everyone motivated, working hard and excited to come to work.  Although, if you’re someone who has business meetings often, your employees may be burnt out and you need a new approach.  To learn how to have more effective business meetings, continue reading below!

Welcome them: First, be kind and welcome all of your employees.  When the boss it happy, the employees are happy.  The friendlier you are the more your employees will want to work and be there.

Progress: Next, go over how the business is going.  Give them a sense of where you’re at financially, where you’d like to be and where you don’t want to be.  This will help them understand that the more the company makes, the more they can potentially make.

Compliment: Now, how about you compliment your employees for once?  Did someone treat a customer well, help out someone else, come in last minute for a call in, etc?  If so, be sure to compliment each employee and tell them what you appreciate that they do.  When it’s about the employees more and not the money, they are willing to listen much more!

Set goals: Now that you’ve made your employees happy and have filled them in on what’s going on, you will want to set some goals.  Let your employees know what you want done, how they can help you out even more and tell them if they meet this certain goal they can get a bonus.  When it’s about their money opportunities, they will listen and work hard!

Treating your employees well is very important.  They don’t want to hear you be negative all the time, hear you boss them around each day and only hear about money.  You’re also going to find that managers who earn an MBA online know how to run efficient meetings. Let them know what they’re doing that you like, how they can help more and how you can improve your business overall.
