New clients are apart of many businesses out there. Without customers, you’re not going to be able to run your business, and make money. Whether you run a hair salon, or a plumbing business, you’ll want to find ways to get new clients, and I will give you a few tips, and pointers on how to find them.
Marketing is king – There are so many ways to market your business out there, and if you’re not marketing, you’re not going to get customers. Just remember that it’s going to take money, to make it. I highly recommend a book titled, “Guerrilla Marketing“. In this book, you’ll find great, small tips on how to market your business on a low budget.
Network with others - There are a lot of groups out there, where you can meet up with other people in your industry. Use sites like MeetUp.com to find people in your area that are willing to meet up, and chat about business. Here, you can bounce off ideas, and find out how others get their clients.
Competition isn’t bad – Many people assume that they should hate the other business down the road that is ran like them. This isn’t the case, and you’ll find that a majority are more than willing to chat about their business, as well as chat about yours. Just think about it, if you’re running a restaurant, do you expect them to go to yours every time they are hungry?
Start with friends and family - No matter who you are, you probably have a few friends, and family. Tell them what you’re doing, and maybe they will refer a few people here, and there. If you do a good enough job, referrals can spread like wildfire, and you’ll be so busy, you won’t know what to do next.
New clients don’t come easy, but word of mouth can, if you do a good enough job. You’ll find that in the end, if you work hard enough, the clients shall come.
