How to Get Free Boxes
A lot of our businesses out there today rely on the Internet to draw sales. When you’re online, you’re slowly finding out that you’re going to need boxes in order to ship the products out. So, the question today is, “Where can I get free boxes?”
The post office: The best place to get boxes is from the postal service. The only downfall is that you have to pay a flat rate regardless of what you put in there. While it can benefit you in some way, there are other times, where you think you got ripped off with the purchase. If you do decide to get a set of free boxes, you can’t flip them inside out, or try to cheat the system. This is a huge no-no, and the post office works are trained to notice these.
How can I get them?
Go to the post office: You can head down to your local post office, and it all depends on how much you need. If you only need a few, you can go right in, pick some up, and leave. They have all different kinds of sizes. It’s up to you on what you want.
Shop online: The USPS store has a selection where you can place your order, and have them deliver it straight to your door. How much does it cost to get it shipped to your door? It’s 100% free! The only negative side to this is that it’s going to take a few weeks to receive your shipment, but as long as you keep up with your orders, you should always have boxes in your office.
Shop from eBay: If you have an eBay account, and you want to get boxes for your shipping needs on the auction house, you can go to your “seller’s resource” page, and then click on “shipping resources.” From there, you can make another selection. Sometimes, you will find that eBay has a bigger selection than the United States post office.
These are really the only ways you can get clean, new boxes at no charge whatsoever. Now, you can always go down to the dumpsters at the grocery store, or hit up Craigslist, but you have to remember that it’s not going to be as professional if you go this route.
