When we open up a business of our own we are extremely proud. We are finally living our dream, taking that risk we’ve always wanted to and are opening up the doors to make some good money! There are a few things that can make a business fail but one thing that really affects how a business is running is employees. How to Find the Best Employees:
Resumes: You want someone that has an impressive resume. If they went to college and got a degree, had excellent grades and has had some pretty good jobs in the past they’re someone to consider. You want someone that has motivation and determination working for you. Also, someone with a good job history is better than someone that’s just worked at fast food their entire life.
References: Check out their references on their resume. They’re there for a reason and should be called. You never know what they have to say, you might find out something surprising or maybe you will find out they were an awful worker. Always check their references!
Experience: What kind of experience do they have? Do they have enough to run your business, will they know how to run things correctly and do they have the schooling behind them? Find someone that knows what you know and can help run your business successfully.
Friendly: You also want someone that is friendly. You need them to work well with your other employees, trust your customers with respect and always have a smile on their face.
Professional: Being professional is also very important! Make sure they’re on time, dress nicely and have a professional attitude. There are several people out there that want a job but how many come off professional?
Finding the best employees to work for you is important. You don’t want someone working for you that is going to bring down your business, treat your customers bad and have a bad attitude. Find the best and don’t settle for less!
