How to Create a Business Resume
When we go through years of school, especially when we go to college, we are more than ready to find that job we’ve been working so hard for. We spent a lot of hours studying, going to class, and a lot of money spent to be where we are right now. So, how can we find that job that we’ve been looking for so we can start making money? A great thing to do once you’re done with school/college is to make your own resume. Resumes are great because you can simply hand them to employers to look at, and they discuss everything you’ve accomplished in your life as of now.
Resumes sound pretty great right? Now you just need to know how to create your own. If you’re looking for step by step directions on how to do so, continue reading below to find out how!
Tells us about yourself - First, you’ll want to start out by giving your personal information. This is usually your name, phone number, fax number, address, and your e-mail so they can contact you.
Schooling – Next, you’ll want to write where you’ve attended school. First, start with your high school and write out the dates you’ve attended and the name of the school. Then, if you’ve attended college, write out what you have a degree in, where you attended, and years you went.
NOTE: If you received a good GPA in high school or college, be sure to add that in. Good grades means you are willing to work hard for what you want!
Jobs – Write out all the jobs you’ve had. Although skip the ones if you’ve been fired or didn’t work there for very long. Just write out the main ones, and how long you worked there.
Experience – If you have any experience with what you graduated with, or, if you have any experience in the job that you’re applying for, write it down! For example, if you’re looking for a teaching job, and you’ve tutored or have helped out in a classroom setting, let them know! The more experience the better, so don’t be afraid to write all your accomplishments and achievements!
Activities – Are you involved with any activities? For example if you volunteer anywhere, mention that! Or if you play sports, etc.
As you can see, there are a few important things you need to include when it comes to creating a resume. If you add what is listed above, it will be much easier for you to find a job. Employers love resumes, and they are much more professional.
