Finding the Best Business Credit Cards
With the economy the way it is today, it’s going to be hard to find the card that you want for your small business. Does this mean that there aren’t any out there? No, but you’re going to have to search harder than you would in the past.
The economy works in cycles and before you know it, we will be back to the credit lending society we used to live in, but in the meantime, we have to learn how we, as small business owners can find the best small business credit cards.
Check out the rewards system
In my opinion, the best credit card out there is one that’s going to give you a lot back in terms of rewards. What are you getting back for every dollar you spend? If you’re not getting anything, you may have to second guess this card. A good card is going to give you rewards back all the time. Whether it’s cash back or gift cards, it’s up to you on what you want.
Look out for the fees
Some credit card companies love to attack you when it comes to fees, especially when it comes down to business. When you’re filling out or considering an application, make sure that you look at the fine print, to see what kind of fees they are going to charge you. A good card will not charge you any fees. This includes your annual fee, and any other fees such as a maintenance or weekly fee, etc.
Look for the major logo
There are some legitimate cards out there, as well as cards that are pretty much useless. If your card doesn’t have a major logo on it, it’s not going to be worth while when you apply for one. Make sure your card is from one of the major three carriers. This will include American Express, Discover, Visa, or MasterCard.
Interest rates shouldn’t matter
If the card looks great to you, the interest rate shouldn’t matter. Why is this, you might ask? Any good credit card carrier will tell you that you should pay off your card in full each month. Just by doing this, you’ll be able to avoid any interest rates. This is why I strongly encourage you that you pay your card off in full each and every month.
By using these tips alone, you should be able to find a perfect business credit card for your business. Take your time when looking for a card. When you get one, use it responsibly and the rewards shall come.
