Finding Cheap Business Checks

Every business owner has to write a check here and there.  I know we are in a technological era where we use bill pay or just simply wire funds to another party within seconds but there are still people out there that want an old fashioned check.

When it comes down to finding cheap checks, there are literally hundreds of merchants online and no wonder why it’s hard to find a place that offers a cheap rate.  As long as you get the check and it works, who cares what you pay for it, right?

Check for great first time deals

So many places online or even offline will offer great first time deals when you purchase for the first time with them.  I don’t know how often you’ll need checks but I will bounce from place to place and take advantage of these deals.  I signed up with a place a while back and received 500 checks for $5 and this was for first time customers only.  If you wanted re-order with them, you’ll have to pay a lot more.

Try and avoid your financial institution

Many people have the misconception that you have to order directly through the bank since you have an account through them.  This couldn’t be further from the truth.  When you apply with a third party, it’s safe and all they require is the information you have on previous checks.  They will need your name, address, account number and all that other good stuff so that they can place it on your newer checks.  Going with a third party alone can save you a fortune.

Look for online retailers

As I already mentioned, there are a lot of retailers online that offer cheap checks.  One that comes to mind is WalMart.  You would never think someone like this would offer cheap checks but they actually do.  Ask friends and other business owners to see what they recommend when it comes to getting cheap checks through a retailer.

With technology the way it is today, your business may use a million checks a year or just a handful.  Depending on your use will depend on what you need, obviously.  The more you get, the less you’ll have to pay when you buy in bulk.  This is why I would recommend that you look into buying in bulk rather than by 50s, etc.
