Advertising, as well know is very important. A very popular way people like to spread the word of their business is simply by direct mail. Pros:
- You know you will spread the word because your paper or letter will be sent directly to them.
- You can target a certain group of people by using different websites online.
- You can send an advertisement to whom ever you’d like.
- You can personalize them to help better your chances. (It won’t look like junk mail so much.)
- The length of getting your message across is totally up to you.
- You can hand deliver them.
Cons:
- Some people don’t like receiving certain mail and throw it away immediately.
- It may be expensive if you have to get labels and stamps.
- It may also be expensive due to having several sheets printed or for certain people to help you with the creation.
- It may easily be mistaken for junk mail.
- It can be a very time consuming process. (You will have to do the research to get addresses, print the labels, put each label on individually, get the stamps from the post office, put each stamp on the envelope and then drop them off at the post office.)
