Creating Business Stationery

Business stationery is an important part of your business.  This is what is going to define you as a business when you send out anything to potential clients or current clients.  Your stationery should include a few simple things in order to make it as effective and professional as possible.  Believe it or not, some potential clients may judge your stationery when looking to do business.

Create a simple design – Like anything in life, you’re going to want to keep your stationery as simple as possible.  Make sure that you don’t clutter up the page because you’ll want to leave as much white space as possible, so that you can type what you want on the pages.  Avoid using huge logos and lots of text.  No one likes a cluttered template.

Brand yourself- Your stationery should always include your company logo and contact information.  One of the most important things you’ll want to do when you’re running your business is branding.  No matter where you live, you should always have branding on your mind.  So whether it’s a logo, a slogan, etc, make sure that you include that on your stationery, so that when someone glances at it, they instantly think of your company.

Keep the same theme – When it comes to stationery, you’re going to want to include the same theme across all your platforms.  From your website to business cards and envelopes, try and keep the same theme, so that your customers don’t get confused with all of the colors.  If you look at any big business, they tend to keep the same theme across all of their advertisements.

Price shop – When you finally think you have a great stationery theme, you’re going to want to check out at least 5 printers in your area.  Like anything you buy in life, every store is going to vary when it comes to pricing.  Make sure you tell the printer exactly what you want so that you can get the best price possible.

When creating your business stationery, there are a few things you should keep in mind in order to have the most effective letterhead.  The minimum you should have is your company logo, address, phone number, website, and phone number.  This way if someone gets a hold of your stationery, they know how to contact you.  Take your time and an effective piece of work should come your way.
