Creating a Lawn Service Flyer
Ah, it’s that time again. It’s time for people to get outside, cut the grass, and do yard work. While many of us enjoy doing it, a lot of us hate it! Thankfully, we have those great lawn maintenance services. Whether you own a service, or you’re looking to start one up, it’s a great business to invest into, because people will always be calling you up to have their lawn serviced.
Like any business though, you’re going to want to market the right way. Once you get that great client base, let’s hope the word of mouth advertising takes effect, and you really rake in the cash.
Today, let me show you some ways on how you can really create a killer flyer to pick up a lot of business –
You have to be unique
When you’re writing up this flyer, what is making your company different from the rest? Are you offering different services? Are you guaranteeing anything? Do you have the best rates? Do some research on about five of your competitors and see what you can do better. Remember that actions speak a lot more than words do.
Always offer some sort of first time discount
When you’re out there mailing the flyers or you’re handing them out, always offer a discount. Like many companies do, they want to offer their services to you for a discounted price to show you how good they can do. If you want to take the chance, a “one free law mow” will give you a ton of calls. If you don’t like that idea, you can always do “Buy 3 weeks, get 1 free”, etc. You have to be creative with your discounts. It also doesn’t hurt to have a refer a friend service either.
Your flyer must be short and sweet
Whenever I see a flyer stuck in my mailbox, I’ll glance at it, read it really quick, and toss it if it doesn’t interest me. Many businesses make the mistake of putting way too much on their flyer. Instead, be straight to the point and tell them what you offer, with a phone number, company name, and discount. This will be more than enough for people to know what you do.
Creating any flyer is going to take some tweaking. You may find that one will work better than another. It’s your job to test at least three designs and see which one gets the best response. A great way to test this is by offer flyer 1 to one city, flyer 2 to another, etc. This way, you’ll know where each one came from.
When it comes to flyers and creating them, I would recommend you check out Vista Print for amazing prices. For my business, they do a great job. They are fast, reliable, and the prices are unbeatable.
