When opening up your business, an e-mail service is going to be crucial when it comes to communicating online.  E-mail is the wave of the future and sadly, letters and anything you send in the mail is a thing of the past.  When you think of e-mail, you probably think of cheap free services that limit you but that isn’t the case.  Let’s take a look at some great services online that you can use that cost a few dollars or that are even free.

Google Gmail - Gmail is by far one of my favorite e-mail systems on the Internet.  With over 5GB in storage, it’s hard to pass them up when it’s 100% free to use.  It has a great spam filter, you’re able to search your mail instantly, use your -email on the go and more.  Gmail has only been around for a few years now but it’s one of the best free e-mail services online right now.

Yahoo! Small Business - If you’re looking for a e-mail plan that offers a little bit more than Google, you’ll want to look into Yahoo plans.  They have plans ranging from $0 all the way up to $8 a month.  These plans will allow you to create more than one e-mail address, give you unlimited storage, allow you POP client access so that you can use Microsoft Outlook and more.

Zenbe -Another free service that’s under the radar is Zenbe.  This e-mail service meant for business has all the features that any business owner would want.  From virus protection to personalized support, once you start using the service, you’re going to wonder why it’s free!

Live Hotmail -Window’s version of Hotmail has been around for years and in fact, it was one of the first e-mail services to hit the web.  With the all new Hotmail, you’re going to get over 5GB in storage, instant messaging contacts through your messenger, a built in calendar, and you’re also able to save your accounts all in one place.  That’s not bad for free, right?

There are so many e-mail services out there but you just have to be aware of some that come and go over night.  You won’t want to sign up with one and find out that they are gone the next morning.  This is why I would recommend you look into one that’s reputable and has been around for a few years.  Try out some of the services above and see what works best for you.
