Apply for a Business Credit Card
With the economy as shaky as it is today, I know it’s hard to find a perfect business credit card, but there are some out there that can help you finance your small business. You just have to know where to search, and how to find one that fits your needs.
Know what you business needs
Most small business owners get a card when they are either looking for extra cash, or they just want the rewards. If you’re the type that needs the card for extra cash, be careful with your limit, because those interest rates can come around and bite you in the butt.
What kind of rewards do you want?
Every business credit card that I have has great rewards, and I encourage every small business owner to do the same. I’ve put everything on my business card, and I love the fact that I’m able to get money back on my purchases, as well as get gift cards to my favorite stores.
Say no to the fees
Most great business cards have no fees, and if you find one that does, make sure that you study it. Yes, some are great and they have fees, but if you don’t spend enough each year, you may find that they aren’t worth it. I would say that if you spend over $100,000 per year, you may find that the rewards are truly worth it.
What are your other options?
With some business cards, you’re going to find out that you can get cards for your employees, and set limits on them, which I love. Also, look for other options that you may get. Some of these options may include car rental insurance, perks, discounts, and more.
As long as you compare, and explore at least five different cards, you should be able to find a card that works great for your small business. Like anything, if you do your homework, a great card shall come your way.
