Starting a small business isn’t easy.  There’s so much to know and learn but you have no idea on where to start.  Believe it or not, there are actually a lot of services out there that will help you with your business and they will be more than willing to help you with questions you may have.  Below are some steps you can take in order to find the advice you need.

Start with the SBA – The SBA or otherwise known as the Small Business Administration is a great place to start when you’re looking for small business advice.  With the SBA, you’re going to get access to tons of resources and answers to the questions you may have.  Be sure to have this resource as the number one place to visit when you’re seeking out advice.

Join a forum online – The Internet is a huge world and I bet you any money there’s a ton of business owners out there looking for the same answers you’re looking for.  Simply by stopping at small business forums will allow you to register and ask questions.  99% of the time, the board will be more than willing to help you succeed.

Here are just a few forums you can check out if you’re looking for forums that can help you with your small business needs –

Try out SCOREScore is a counseling website that enables business owners like yourself to find the advice you need.  Simply pop in a keyword that relates to your business and you’ll have access to thousands of advice givers.  Ask a question and the counselor should be able to answer it for you at no charge.  These are people who are more than willing to see you succeed.

Use the library- The library in your area is probably opened to many business resources.  If you need help with advertising, see what kind of books they offer.  If you’re interested in taxes, I’m sure there are books about taxes as well.  I think you’ll get the clue.  Books are a great opportunity to learn about the things you’re questioning.  Find a great book, sit back and soak in all the information available.

Advice is pretty easy to find.  Another great way to find it is by simply asking your question on a search engine like Google.  99% of the time you can find your answer this way.  The Internet really is your best friend.  If you can’t find it via the search engine, make sure you use the methods mentioned above.  If you put your heart into finding the answer, you’ll be able to get it eventually.
