7 Ways to Increase Profits

Increasing salesProfits are important for any business, and heck, that is what we are in the business for, to make money, right?  When you’re looking to increase your profits, no matter what time of the year it is, there are some small, but simple things that you can do in order to increase your profits, so that you can make some very good money.

Look at your prices: If you’re already selling a lot, can you increase your prices in some areas?  Even if it’s by 2-3%, this can add up, depending on your cash flow.

Glance at your advertising: Are you spending too much in advertising?  You may want to re-work some areas that aren’t working for you.  Remember that tracking is the key here.

Be creative: Advertising doesn’t have to be expensive when it comes to getting people into your business.  Think of some simple ways to draw your customers into your door.

Look at your competition: I want you to check out three of your competitors.  See what offers they are running, as well as the prices they are offering.  Are you keeping up with them?

Coupons are your friend: No matter what kind of business you’re running, you can offer coupons.  Coupons get people in the door if they are good enough.  Just make sure that you’re tracking them.

Your customers are your money: If your customers aren’t happy, they aren’t going to spread the word.  Remember that word of mouth advertising is one of the best advertising methods you can have.

Can you sell other things? I don’t know what kind of business you run, but can you venture out, and sell other things?  For example, if you run a video game store, can venture out and sell DVDs?  You won’t want to stretch it too far, but you probably get the clue here.
